How do you ensure fast and correct claims processing? And what do you need to think about?

Damaged?

As soon as third parties are involved in the damage, you are obliged to call the police and have the damage registered. And by third parties, we mean people as well as objects and cars.

Are you no longer able to drive and do you have to be towed?

If your Carsub car needs to be towed due to damage, call the damage number on the front of your service book. Then your car will be towed to the nearest workshop. All emergency numbers can be found on the front of your maintenance book in your glove box.

Can't find the help number of your car partner/supplier? Then log in to www.carsub.nl and find at “My subscription” your car partner/supplier.

Deductible

You are insured for the costs, with a deductible of 1,500 euros per claim as standard. You can lower your deductible during the ordering process.

Recourable damage

Does the damage caused by and be recoverable from the other party? Then, of course, everything will be settled.

Here are a few more tips if you have damage:

  • Your safety comes first. Always keep yourself and others involved safe first. If there are any injuries, provide first aid.
  • Call anytime 112 in case of (serious) physical injury. Even in the event of a quarrel/disagreement with the other party, 112 calling is the best option. Do you think there has been a serious traffic offence, such as driving a red light or driving under the influence? Then call +31 900 — 8844.
  • If the other party continued without leaving details or in the event of theft, vandalism or burglary, always report it to the police. This can easily be done online via www.politie.nl or via +31 900 — 8844.
  • Put the affected vehicles safely aside and use a warning triangle to warn other road users.
  • Emotions can run high in the event of a collision, especially if you can't do anything about the situation or if there is an injury. Stay calm and polite with each other and focus on dealing with the damage correctly.
  • Witness statements are valuable. Write down the names and addresses of potential witnesses. Occupants aged 16 or over are also allowed to testify.
  • Take photos of the situation, both detailed photos and overview photos that clearly show the accident. Make sure you don't put yourself or others at risk when taking the photos.
  • Do not make any statements about the circumstances of the collision and do not acknowledge liability. Limit yourself to the facts and do not accept the opposing party's proposals to settle the damage immediately. Let the insurer do the assessment.
  • Complete a European claim form with the other party. The form consists of two parts, each with its own part. Both sign the front side of the form. Everyone fills in the back separately. In the event of a chain collision or collision with several people involved, fill out a form with each person involved.
  • Report the damage to your car partner/supplier or to us as soon as possible. You can report your damage online to both the car partner and us. You can also report your damage via operations@carsub.nl.

FAQs

What if I have damage or an accident?

In the event of damage or accident, report this immediately to the car company you drive your car from. Of course, it can also be passed on to us. You do this by sending a fully completed damage form and photos of your car. As soon as third parties are involved in the damage, you are obliged to call the police and have the damage registered. And by third parties, we mean people as well as objects and cars. If your Carsub car needs to be towed due to damage, call the damage number on the front of your service book. Then your car will be towed to the nearest workshop. All emergency numbers can be found on the front of your maintenance book in your glove box. You are insured for the costs, with a standard deductible of €1,500 per claim. You can lower it during the ordering process. Does the damage caused by and be recoverable from the other party? Then, of course, everything will be settled.

Will I get a replacement car during workshop visits?

No, we do not offer a replacement car for workshop visits. Our cars are in such a condition that a maintenance visit will consist of minimal work. To be honest, we should include a replacement in your monthly rate and we think that's too much to make you pay for. You may need to have a service done once a year (if you've been driving the same car for so long) and then you'll pay for replacement vehicles every month, while you're likely to use it infrequently.

What if my car gets stolen?

If your car is stolen, it is of course extremely annoying. And that must then be resolved as soon as possible. If your car is stolen, the deductible protocol applies. For example, if you forget to lock the car and your car is stolen, you are fully responsible. Even in the event of unacceptable management or (gross) negligence, we must recover the costs from you, as a director, and will be treated just like unreported damage or damage resulting from the careless management of the object. We do not cover or reimburse loose items/property in your car in the event of theft or other damage. Perhaps reassuring, all our vehicles have a GPS system. This is due to safeguarding and security against possible abuse or theft.
