Report damage

Damage to your car is of course always very annoying. In case of damage or accident you report it immediately to the car company you drive your car from. Of course you can also report it to us. You do this by sending a fully completed damage form and photos of your car. An incompletely or unclearly filled out damage form will cause delays and may incur more costs.

Below you can report your damage directly!

How do you ensure quick and correct claims handling? And what all do you need to think about?

Drove damage?

As soon as third parties are involved in the damage, you are required to call the police and register the damage. And by third parties we mean people as well as objects and cars.

Can't drive anymore and need to be towed?

If your Carsub car needs to be towed due to damage, you should call the damage number on the front of your service booklet. Then your car will be towed to the nearest workshop. All emergency numbers can be found on the front of your service booklet in your glove box.

Can't find your car partner/supplier's help number? Then log on to www.carsub.nl and find your car partner / supplier under 'My subscription'.

Own risk

You are insured for the costs, with a standard deductible of €1,500.00 per claim. You can lower your deductible during the ordering process.

Recoverable damages

Does the damage turn out to be caused by and recoverable from the other party? Then, of course, everything will be settled.

Herewith we give you some more tips if you have damage:

  • Your safety comes first. Always get yourself and others involved to safety first. If there are injuries, provide first aid.
  • Always call 112 in case of (serious) physical injury. Also in case of an argument/disagreement with the other party, calling 112 is the best option. Do you think there is a serious traffic violation, such as driving through a red light or driving under the influence? Then call 0900 - 8844.
  • If the other party drove on without leaving any data behind or in case of theft, vandalism or burglary, always make a report to the police. This can easily be done online at www.politie.nl or by calling 0900 - 8844.
  • Pull over affected vehicles safely and use a warning triangle to alert other road users.
  • Emotions can run high in a collision, especially if there is nothing you can do about the situation or if there are injuries. Stay calm and polite to each other and focus on settling the claim correctly.
  • Witness statements are valuable. Write down the names and addresses of possible witnesses. Occupants 16 years of age or older may also testify.
  • Take photos of the situation, both detail photos and overview photos that clearly show the accident. Be careful not to endanger yourself or others when taking the photos.
  • Do not make any statements about the facts of the collision or acknowledge liability. Limit yourself to the facts and do not accept proposals from the other party to settle the claim directly. Let the insurer do the assessment.
  • Complete a European claim form together with the other party. The form consists of two parts, each has his own part. Both sign the front of the form. The back side each person fills out separately. In a chain collision or collision with multiple parties involved, fill out a form with each party involved.
  • Report the damage as soon as possible to your car partner/supplier or to us. With both the car partner and us you can report your damage online. You can also report your damage via operations@carsub.nl.

Will I get a replacement car during workshop visits?

No, we do not offer a replacement car for workshop visits. Our cars are in such condition that a service visit will consist of minimal work. To be honest, a replacement would have to be factored into your monthly rate and we feel that is too much to charge you for. You will have to have a service done maybe once a year (if you have been driving the same car for so long) and then you will be paying for a replacement every month when you probably won't use it much, if at all.

What if my car is stolen?

If your car is stolen, it is of course extremely annoying. And that needs to be resolved as soon as possible. If your car is stolen the own risk protocol applies. For example, if you forgot to lock the car and your car is stolen, you are fully responsible. Also, in case of unacceptable management or (gross) negligence, we have to recover the costs from you, the driver, and will be treated just like unreported damages or damages resulting from careless management of the property. Loose items/property in your car will not be covered or reimbursed by us in case of theft or other type of damage form. Perhaps a reassuring thought, all our vehicles have a GPS system. This is to safeguard and secure against possible abuse or theft.
